The 20th Century saw the evolution of a new art form in America: comics. It was distinguished by a new graphic sensibility, which relied on bold images and strong typefaces to punctuate the story line. In the 1970s this art form was reexamined and given an ironic twist in Pop Art. This pin pays homage to both.
